Indulging Your Hair
Having worked on and off in the beauty industry for years now, I am always being asked by friends, men and women, about products and tips of the trade. With the summer season quickly approaching, women always seem to want “beach hair”. That tousled, I just got out of the ocean- Gisele look. While Gisele is just blessed with great hair, (among other things) the look is still achievable. Bumble and Bumble makes a surf spray that retails for around $18. It works, but not for the price and the tiny amount you get. Aquage makes one as well that is much more affordable but leaves your hair feeling rather sticky. The best one I have found so far is Alterna’s Caviar Anti-Aging Beach Spray, it retails for around $20, but seems to be the perfect combination of hold, body, and wave definition. I’ve found for the best results, let your hair air dry a bit, and then spritz the product in throughly. For added defenition, I like L`OREAL’s Playball Beach Cream that I apply to the ends- twirling my hair in my fingers to achieve defined waves.
